When working, do gu10 led bulbs get hot?

Yes, all kinds of LED do generate lot of heat when working. The heat transfer to the PCB through thermal conductive glue and solder joint. Then transfer to the housing for heat dissipation. If can not handle the heat dissipation correctly. it will effect the lifespan of LED. Aluminium is the a very good material for heat transmission, and it is not high cost, compare to copper. that’s why most led products choose aluminium as housing.

For some types of LED products using plastic housing. can not feel much heat when led working. because the heat can not transfer outside. And the heat were wrap inside. that will be not good for LED’s lifespan.
